What sets In Light Photo Booth apart from other photo booth companies?

The way we see it, if you’re going to invite us to be a part of your special occasion, we better do everything possible to capture your memories to the highest standard.
To ensure this is the case, we offer best-in-class camera quality, amazing backdrops and props, cutting-edge technology, and an experienced, dressed-to-impress attendant to run your booth.
Your trust and happiness mean a great deal to us, so if you’re not 100% satisfied with our service at the end of your event, you can keep your photos and we’ll give you your money back.

Will I receive prints?

Of course! With our Luxe, Mirror, Glam, Green Screen and Enclosed booths, your photos will print within seconds and there’s no limit on how many you can take. The Social Booth is a bit different in that aspect – all photos are digital, and can be texted and emailed amongst friends and family.

What kinds of print options do you offer?

We can print your photos either in the traditional 2X6 format, or in a 4×6 format. You also get to choose between color and black&white. All options are easy to navigate and our attendant is at the ready to help if necessary.

How does the Memory Book work?

The Memory Book allows you to receive personal messages from your guests alongside their pictures in a book format. When your guests print out their pictures, we print out one extra for the book and invite them to write you a message. At the end of the party, we give you the book!

Can I get the digital photos after the event?

Sure thing! After every party, you will receive a link with all the photos, so you and your guests can download the pictures for free, or easily share them with family and friends!

Will an employee from In Light be at my event to run the booth?

Yes. An experienced attendant, dressed according to the event’s dress code, will be at your event to manage the equipment, distribute prints, and help create an enjoyable atmosphere around the booth. The only exception is with our Social Booth, which is so easy to run it doesn’t require an attendant.

What type of event is best to invest in a Photo Booth?

We have experience servicing weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, holiday parties, birthdays, corporate events, formal galas, graduations, quinceaneras… Really any event where people are gathering for a good time and may want to remember it in a special way.

Do you provide props?

We do! Physical props such as silly glasses, hats, wigs, masks, and quirky signs are included with our Luxe, Green Screen, Enclosed and Mirror Booth packages; and you’re encouraged to bring supplemental props to really blow out your event’s theme. Our Social Booth package includes a hilarious array of digital props, like emojis, silly texts and animations.

How much space do your booths require?

It’s important to us to carry as small of a footprint as possible to keep your party flowing. In general, our booths take up an 8’ x 8’ block of space, but we’ve literally serviced a laundry room before, so if you have concerns over a particular space, please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure it’s comfortable.

Do your booths require a power source?

Yes. For most of our booths a standard 10-15 amp, 3 prong wall outlet is sufficient. Our Social Booth can run with no outside power source, operating on its own batteries for up to 4 hours.

Do you service my area?

We currently offer service in Chicago and its surrounding areas, but we do love a good trip and can travel pretty much anywhere with our easy setup.

Is there a travel fee?

We travel up to 30 miles from our Mt. Prospect location for free. Any additional mile after that will include a fee of $2 per mile.

Is the setup included in the price?

Of course! Setting up takes us no more than 15 minutes, and we always arrive 30 min to 1 hour prior to the event to get everything up and rolling smoothly.

Can we set up our photo booth outside?

In order to guarantee high quality photos, we always recommend placing the booth inside. However, we understand that this isn’t always possible, so if you’d like to have the booth outside, just let us know and we can make the necessary adjustments.

What if I want to stop the photo booth in the middle of my event?

Sometimes guests need down time for dinner, etc, and we totally get it. We offer an “Idle Hour” for times like these so you can always get the most out of your investment. Please inquire with our team for more details.

What is the difference between a GIF and a Boomerang?

Ah. You must not be a millennial. (You’ll be happy to know that neither are we.) GIF’s are a series of digital images strung together to form an animation. If you purchase our Social Booth and opt to create a GIF, you’ll take 3-4 photos (with time in between each shot to change your pose), and they’ll be edited into a simple, continuous loop. A BOOMERANG is a piece of digital content composed of 16-20 photos, taken rapid fire, in a 3-4 second period of time. This effect creates what looks like a short video that can be played forwards and backwards, ad infinitum, until you stop laughing so hard. You can even post it on Instagram if you like, and we think it looks pretty sweet with a touch of animated confetti.
